Say Hello to Bee Curious, the brand-new curriculum by Busy Bees! We are proud to announce that Bee Curious has recently been independently evaluated by the Open University who concluded that Bee Curious equips children right from the start of life.
We focus on areas that are directly linked to better outcomes in life - such as vocabulary, developing a love of stories, and understanding basic mathematical concepts.
As the UK's only independently evaluated early years curriculum, our sequenced progression model grows and adapts with children, enabling them to build key skills and knowledge throughout their formative years.
Earlier this year, Busy Bees launched its new curriculum - Bee Curious - which rolled out nationwide from September 2024. A research study was undertaken by Dr Jackie Musgrave, an early childhood education expert and the Associate Head of School with responsibility for Learning and Teaching at the Open University's School of Education, Childhood, Youth and Sport (ECYS).
Overview of the Open University's observations:
"Bee Curious is a very well-designed curriculum which gives scope to be implemented flexibly to meet the individual needs of children."
"Equipping children right from the start of life with the skills and knowledge, while supporting their development, lays the foundations for children to make a positive contribution as they move into adulthood."
"There are pleasing signs of how the implementation is having a positive impact on educators' knowledge and practice. In turn, educators are observing positive impact on the development and learning of babies and children.
We prepare children for school by developing essential academic and social skills through engaging activities and interactive learning experiences.
